Anyone who has read my movie “reviews” has realized that I do not truly review movies. I just tell you whether I liked the movie — or not. In fact, this entire web page is more like a journal than anything else. So, when I say I didn’t like a Steven Spielberg movie, I have no qualifications whatsoever for making such a judgment. It’s Spielberg, after all. And Emily Blunt… and Colin Firth… what’s not to like? I really, really wanted to like this movie. But I had a difficult time convincing myself I was enjoying it. Maybe I’ll watch it again and try to figure out why. But it just didn’t grab me. Go figure.
